The EAP is a professional counselling service that offers confidential short term support to help NTG employees and their immediate family members deal with a variety of work-related and personal issues that may impact on work performance.

It is important to note that the EAP is designed to provide short term solution focused problem resolution. Where relevant assessments demonstrate a higher level of care or longer-term clinical care is required, alternate solutions will be explored by the EAP provider.

The EAP also offers additional (ad-hoc) services in response to specific situations that may impact on workforce interactions and productivity. Examples include: supporting groups of employees through stressful or acute events and critical incident counselling.

Core EAP services

Employees and immediate family members are eligible for up to three counselling sessions per occasion. These may be accessed through the Human Resource Services Unit or by self-referral.

Ad-hoc services

Ad-hoc services listed below incur additional costs. It is recommended that you contact your human resource consultant or directorate manager to discuss your workplace situation.

An overview of EAP providers and services is provided below.
