Student Wellbeing and Inclusion Programs and Services (SWIPS) provides differentiated support services to reform inclusion and improve engagement and access to learning for children, students and communities.

There are a range of leadership and essential front-line positions available for school counsellors, social workers, psychologists, teachers, occupational therapists and speech pathologists.

Be part of a multidisciplinary Territory wide team creating positive change and strengthening the link between wellbeing, inclusion and engagement to support our Territory kids!

Are you a leader with project management and service delivery skills? Are you an Allied Health practitioner (psychologist, speech pathologist or occupational therapist) who is passionate about ensuring all children are welcomed into an inclusive environment and can learn to their full potential?  

 
The Central Australian Regional Response (CARR) operates within a multi-tiered system of support framework, to promote the development of a student’s learning and wellbeing, by building the capability of staff to make the necessary adjustments required for children and young people to access the curriculum.

 

These positions are based in Alice Springs. 

About the team:

 

Assistant Director Inclusion Project Central
 

Assistant Director Inclusion Project Central (SAO1) will lead the development and delivery of the Allied Health project for the Central Australian Regional Response at varying levels of complexity through managing direct service delivery, and provide strategic coordination, advice, and analysis for continuous improvement of school and system.

To be successful in the Assistant Director role you will need experience leading a team and project management skills; an allied health or education background is desirable.


Office-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence. Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days. Four wheel drive training will be provided by the NT Department of Education.

Inclusion Advisor Psychologists


Inclusion Advisor Psychologists (P3)  collaborates with school leadership, teachers, school staff, parents and external partners or agencies to provide support on matters related to student wellbeing in areas such as learning, behaviour, and personal/social competence.


For these Allied Health practitioner roles, you will need a degree in psychology and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).


Office-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence. Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days. Inclusion Advisor Speech Pathologists  

 

Inclusion Advisor Speech Pathologists (P3) work with school leadership, teachers, school staff, parents and external groups or agencies to enable students with speech, language and communication needs to access and participate in educational programs across diverse settings.


For these Allied Health practitioner roles, you will need a degree in speech pathology and current registration or ability to obtain with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA).


Office-based conditions apply to this position. The applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Notice Clearance and an NT driver’s licence. Visits to remote schools may necessitate travel by four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days. Four wheel drive training will be provided by the NT Department of Education.

Inclusion Advisor Occupational Therapists (P3) work with school leadership, teachers, school staff, parents and external groups or agencies to promote the development of young children and students’ occupational performance ensuring their access to and engagement in educational programs in a range of school and community settings.

 

For these Allied Health practitioner roles, you will need a degree in occupational therapy and current registration or ability to obtain with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
